Pad Thai (Honolulu, HI)

Rating: All-Star

Food was good! Our kid scarfed down the chicken pad see ew — and trust me, his first response is usually, “I don’t want that.” But this time, he dove right in and ate without hesitation. I also threw down their stuffed chicken wings — never had anything like it before. Imagine Thai food meets fried chicken, but without that slimy texture I can’t stand. The spring rolls were solid too.

Service was fast and friendly, and the price felt fair for the portions. Our total came out to about $57 (with tip), and it easily stretched into multiple meals thanks to the generous portions.

It’s tucked in the Salt Lake Shopping Center strip mall, which gives you a glimpse of Hawaii in a non-tourist, local style. Plenty of leftovers, plenty of flavor — a spot worth coming back to.
