Gott’s Roadside – (Kids’ Snack Stop)

Rating: Role Player

Before the ice cream run later that afternoon, we made a quick pit stop at Gott’s for the kids to refuel after swimming on one of those rare hot San Francisco days. Nothing fancy, just a kids’ chicken tenders meal — two pieces, crispy on the outside, tender inside, and enough to keep the hunger at bay before dinner.

They also gave us a little green sauce on the side — not sure what exactly it was, but we actually liked it. Bright, tangy, with just enough kick to make the tenders more interesting than the usual ketchup dip. A pleasant surprise.

At just under ten bucks, it’s not exactly a bargain, but the convenience of being right inside the Ferry Building (and not having to drag tired, wet kids across town) made it worth it. The service was quick, which is exactly what you want when you’re managing post-swim hunger meltdowns.

It wasn’t a “wow” meal, more of a practical role player in the day — but that’s what we needed. A simple, no-drama snack to keep the kids going until the main event.
