The Lanai - Ala Moana
Rating: Role Player
We sampled a handful of spots here on our visit, and overall it gave us a good variety of Asian flavors under one roof.
Hokkaido Brug: The kids really enjoyed a sausage croissant — flaky, buttery, and just the right size for a quick bite.
Ahi & Vegetable: Picked up seaweed salad, kimchee, and chow sum sides. Fresh, flavorful, and a nice balance to some of the heavier items elsewhere.
Seoul Mix: I tried the fishcake kimbap here. It was light, tasty, and had that classic Korean comfort-food vibe.
All in all, decent food that let us explore a few different Asian styles without having to sit down at a full restaurant.
The downside? The pigeons. They’re everywhere in this food court — hovering for scraps, perching on tables, and occasionally leaving reminders on the floor. It makes you wonder about how clean the space really is, which takes away from an otherwise solid eating experience.
Verdict: Worth it for the variety and quick bites, but be prepared to guard your food like it’s part of the menu.
