Tanjiae Snack pro Snack Containers
Rating: All-Star
These snack containers earned their place in our kitchen the hard way: by surviving real mornings with real kids and real adults who apparently believe any container within reach is fair game.
In our case, the breaking point came courtesy of a well-meaning guest who started cooking herself steak every morning and, without hesitation, began using the kids’ snack containers to do it. Nothing quite clarifies the need for better systems like opening a lunchbox and realizing your child’s apple container smells faintly of ribeye. Grace is important. So are boundaries. These containers helped restore both.
They are made from high-quality 18/8 stainless steel with soft, 100% leak-proof silicone lids, and that combination matters more than the product listing language lets on. Stainless steel keeps food tasting like food, not whatever was last cooked at dawn, and the silicone lids seal tightly without requiring adult-level grip strength. Kids can open them on their own, which matters more than you’d think, but they stay closed in backpacks, lunchboxes, and car seats.
The set includes three small containers, each holding one cup (8 ounces). This turns out to be a very practical size. It’s enough for fruit, cut vegetables, yogurt, hummus, sauces, or small leftovers without encouraging oversized portions or wasted food. For toddlers and younger kids, it’s exactly right. For adults, it works well for portion control or sides. Each container is about the size of a tennis or baseball, which makes them easy to tuck into any lunch setup without turning the morning into a puzzle.
Storage is another quiet win. With the lids off, the containers nest neatly inside one another, saving fridge and cabinet space. When you’re packing lunches before the day has fully started, small efficiencies like this reduce friction more than you expect.
From a safety and stewardship standpoint, these containers do what they claim. They’re plastic-free, CPSC and CPSIA compliant, and tested to meet LFGB (EU) standards for no BPA, lead, or phthalates. The silicone is pure, the stainless steel is smoothly polished, and everything feels solid without being heavy. They’re dishwasher safe, freezer safe, and oven safe, with a smooth interior that releases food easily, which means less scrubbing and fewer containers lingering in the sink.
Most importantly, they support the quiet work families are already doing. When schools fail to provide healthy lunches, parents fill the gap day after day. These containers make that work more sustainable. They hold real food, clean easily, stack responsibly, and—critically—make it very clear which containers belong to the kids and which do not.
They are not flashy. They are faithful. And for households making lunches every morning while protecting both nutrition and family peace, they earn an All-Star rating.
